The Fiat 500 (the "cinquecento", /tʃin.kwe.tʃen.to/, or "chin-kwe-chen-to", from the Italian word for "500") is a car produced by the Fiat company of Italy between 1957 and 1975 (the Fiat 500 K alone was produced until 1977). It was designed by Dante Giacosa. 2007 Fiat lauched a similar looking, retro-styled Car, basing on the Fiat Panda. Launched as the Nuova 500, it was marketed as a cheap and practical town car. Measuring only 2.97 m (9 ft 9 in) long, and originally powered by a tiny 479 cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term "small car" and is considered one of the first city cars.

2008 Fiat 500 Abarth

The Abarth’s new 1.4-litre 16v petrol turbocharged engine delivers a maximum 99kW at 5500rpm and peak torque of 206Nm at 3000rpm in Sport mode, and 180Nm at 2500rpm in Normal mode.
Like the original Fiat 500 upon which it is based, the Abarth variant will fully comply with future Euro 5 emissions standards.

It has also adopted the new TTC (Torque Transfer Control) system, which improves the transfer of drive torque to the wheels, but, above all, ensures that the car behaves impeccably on bends, making it safer and more entertaining even with a sporty driving style.
