The MKX, which debuted in 2007, is Lincolns first entry into the ever-growing luxury cross-over segment.
The five passenger MKX is powered by a 265 hp 3.5-liter V-6 that puts power to the ground via a six-speed automatic and front- or all-wheel drive. Standard safety features include four-wheel antilock brakes, six airbags, electronic stability control with roll control, rear parking sensors and tire pressure monitoring. Optional luxury features on the MKX include a large glass-paneled sunroof called Vista Roof, heated rear seats, navigation system, rear entertainment system and a THX II certified audio system.
For 2008, the Lincoln MKX adds more standard features including heated and cooled front seats with power lumbar and driver memory, SYNC communication/entertainment system, satellite radio, auto-dimming driver side exterior mirror and three new exterior colors.

An innovative crossover vehicle with a wealth of dynamic, active features, the 2008 Lincoln MKX is the perfect blend of on-road civility and off-road capability in a sexy, svelte package. New for this year is a Limited Edition Package, available 20” aluminum wheels, and the new SYNC communications and entertainment system.
Utilizing a 3.5 liter Duratec V6 engine with 265 horsepower and ample amounts of torque, the MKX accelerates briskly with a standard smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. The available intelligent All-Wheel Drive System automatically senses wheel slippage and distributes torque appropriately to the wheels with the most grip. The four-wheel independent suspension enhances handling and soaks up road imperfections with ease.
Active safety features include AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ to keep the vehicle firmly planted during evasive maneuvers, while the standard four-wheel Anti-lock Braking system and Traction Control enhance stopping power and prevent wheel lockup during hard braking. With a total of 6 airbags in the Safety Canopy™ system, including dual front airbags, seat-mounted side impact airbags and side curtain airbags with rollover detection, all passengers are protected in a rollover or collision. Available Adaptive Headlamps move as you turn the steering wheel, illuminating the road up to 36 feet longer than conventional headlamps, helping you see potential hazards ahead.
Available 20” chrome-clad aluminum wheels add style and grace to the MKX. The standard Reverse Sensing System audibly alerts you to objects behind the vehicle to make parking easier. The push-button Power Liftgate opens or closes hands-free, allowing easy loading and unloading. The unique available Vista Roof™ is a panoramic moonroof that allows front and rear passengers to experience an amazing view. The new innovative SYNC system allows you to control your cell phone and MP3 player with simple voice commands, giving you complete control over in-cabin communications and entertainment. The available voice-activated DVD-based Navigation System combines GPS technology with turn-by-turn voice guidance for expert directions and maps.
With futuristic styling, a wealth of advanced technology, and a refined powertrain, the 2008 Lincoln MKX is a cool crossover that points to the future.
